The basic structural features are tight inside and loose outside, there is fiber transfer, and the fibers in the yarn have the phenomenon of folding, hooking and bending, extending out of the yarn surface; When different fibers are blended, the radial distribution will be uneven; The yarn appearance is uneven in thickness, quality and structure.
Free end yarn:
The fiber straightness in the yarn is low, and the number of fibers bent, looped and folded in half is large; The internal and external transfer of fibers is less, and most of them are arranged in layers in the shape of cylindrical spiral line; The evenness of sliver is good, which is better than ring spinning yarn except vortex yarn; Less defects, less hairiness, good wear resistance, good dyeing and sizing; However, the yarn strength is low and the elongation is large.
Self twisting yarn:
The twist of self twist yarn is uneven, and the yarn structure is uneven in longitudinal periodicity. However, due to the combination of two bundles, the evenness of yarn evenness is better than that of ring spinning single yarn and worse than that of strand yarn; Self twist yarn has lower strength, larger elongation, good wear resistance, soft and plump feel, and its luster is different from that of single twist yarn due to alternating twist directions.
